1. Controller and processor roles

Trendtyx acts as data controller for the account and billing information Organisers provide when registering and running their Trendtyx account.

For personal data collected from Attendees at checkout — name, email address, and order details — the Organiser is the data controller, since that data is collected to fulfil the Organiser's own event. Trendtyx acts as data processor, handling that data only to generate tickets, record the order, display it back to the Organiser in their own Contacts dashboard, and — on that Organiser's own instruction — send campaign and sequence emails to their Attendees. Trendtyx never builds a cross-organiser marketing list of its own, and never shares this data with any other Organiser.

2. Lawful basis for processing

Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — issuing tickets, processing payments, and operating Organiser accounts.
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — fraud prevention and platform security.
Processor instruction — campaign and sequence emails to an Organiser's own Attendees (see below) are sent by Trendtyx as processor; the Organiser, as data controller for that communication, is responsible for having a lawful basis of their own to contact their Attendees.
Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — tax records and responding to lawful requests from authorities.

3. Secondary data use & commercial services

Trendtyx does not currently offer bundled marketing services, on-site event hardware, sponsorship matching, or checkout add-ons (such as ticket insurance, travel, or merchandise). If any such service is introduced in future, this policy will be updated in advance of launch to describe what data it uses and why.

An Organiser may send campaign and sequence emails to their own Attendees — people who have bought a ticket to, or otherwise engaged with, one of that Organiser's events. Every such email carries an unsubscribe link, honoured immediately and without further contact. Trendtyx itself does not use Attendee or Organiser data for its own direct marketing, and does not sell personal data to third-party data brokers or advertisers.

4. Cookies

Trendtyx uses one cookie beyond what’s strictly necessary to run the site: trendtyx_attr, which remembers which link brought you to an event page — a shared link, a poster’s QR code, a WhatsApp message — for up to 30 days. This lets an organiser see which channel led to a sale. It never identifies you personally and is never shared outside Trendtyx.

A banner asks for your choice the first time you visit a public event page. Declining has no effect on browsing or buying tickets — the only difference is that a purchase made after a delay can’t be linked back to the earlier visit that brought you here. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link shown on any event page.

If you follow an organiser, Trendtyx also sets cookies that are strictly necessary for what you asked for and so don’t need the banner: trendtyx_attendee keeps you signed in to manage your follows (up to 180 days), trendtyx_follow_pending remembers that a confirmation link is on its way (30 minutes), and trendtyx_follow_flash shows a one-time confirmation (1 minute).

Two more cookies are strictly necessary for features you use, so they don’t need the banner: tx_currency is set only when you pick a currency for the prices shown on our marketing pages, and lasts one year; tx_checkout is a random tag that identifies your browser during checkout, so that one person can’t hold a large number of tickets at once.

Event pages show a Google map only if you press Show map; Google may then set its own cookies.

To choose a default currency, your IP address is matched against a country database on Trendtyx’s own server. It isn’t stored or sent anywhere. IP geolocation by DB-IP.

5. Following organisers

You can choose to follow an organiser so that Trendtyx can email you when they announce a new event. Following is always your choice: buying a ticket never makes you a follower. When you follow, Trendtyx stores your email address, which organisers you follow and when, and which page you followed from. We confirm your address with an emailed link before any follow takes effect.

Trendtyx is the controller of this data, and the lawful basis is your consent. Organisers see how many people follow them, never who. We don’t share or sell follower data. You can unfollow any organiser, or delete your email and every follow at once, at any time from trendtyx.com/following.
