1. Controller and processor roles

Trendtyx acts as data controller for the account and billing information Organisers provide when registering and running their Trendtyx account.

For personal data collected from Attendees at checkout — name, email address, and order details — the Organiser is the data controller, since that data is collected to fulfil the Organiser's own event. Trendtyx acts as data processor, handling that data only to generate tickets, record the order, display it back to the Organiser in their own Contacts dashboard, and — on that Organiser's own instruction — send campaign and sequence emails to their Attendees. Trendtyx never builds a cross-organiser marketing list of its own, and never shares this data with any other Organiser.

2. Lawful basis for processing

Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — issuing tickets, processing payments, and operating Organiser accounts.
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — fraud prevention and platform security.
Processor instruction — campaign and sequence emails to an Organiser's own Attendees (see below) are sent by Trendtyx as processor; the Organiser, as data controller for that communication, is responsible for having a lawful basis of their own to contact their Attendees.
Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — tax records and responding to lawful requests from authorities.

3. Secondary data use & commercial services

Trendtyx does not currently offer bundled marketing services, on-site event hardware, sponsorship matching, or checkout add-ons (such as ticket insurance, travel, or merchandise). If any such service is introduced in future, this policy will be updated in advance of launch to describe what data it uses and why.

An Organiser may send campaign and sequence emails to their own Attendees — people who have bought a ticket to, or otherwise engaged with, one of that Organiser's events. Every such email carries an unsubscribe link, honoured immediately and without further contact. Trendtyx itself does not use Attendee or Organiser data for its own direct marketing, and does not sell personal data to third-party data brokers or advertisers.

4. Cookies

Trendtyx uses one cookie beyond what’s strictly necessary to run the site: trendtyx_attr, which remembers which link brought you to an event page — a shared link, a poster’s QR code, a WhatsApp message — for up to 30 days. This lets an organiser see which channel led to a sale. It never identifies you personally and is never shared outside Trendtyx.

A banner asks for your choice the first time you visit a public event page. Declining has no effect on browsing or buying tickets — the only difference is that a purchase made after a delay can’t be linked back to the earlier visit that brought you here. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link shown on any event page.
